PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy is that children, our future and precious resource, are always learning. They are explorers, discoverers and adventurers, having an incurable desire to learn. It is our intent in this program to provide children with a wide variety of learning experiences which will stimulate their curiosity, challenge their physical and intellectual abilities, foster their creativity and encourage self-expression and independence as well as develop a sense of self-fulfillment. We are a church sponsored pre-school however it is not our intent to teach doctrine. It is our hope that the loving Christian atmosphere offered here will touch a child's life in a positive way and help to make the transition from home to school less difficult.

PROGRAM GOALS

1. Provide a warm, safe environment that will enable the child to grow socially and mentally.
2. Help the child to develop a positive self-concept by providing the child with frequent opportunities to succeed.
3. Provide a variety of experiences designed to stimulate and foster self-expression, independence, creativity and curiosity.
4. Provide various sensory motor experiences that will enhance sensory growth and awareness.
5. Stimulate and challenge the child’s physical and intellectual abilities.
6. Nurture wholesome growth by providing an environment of love, acceptance and respect through story, discussion and example.
7. Communicate with parents/guardians to better understand the child and his/her special needs.
8. Establish a positive environment to help guide the child’s social development.
These goals are achieved by including free play, socialization, stories, music, fingerplays, snacktime, games and supervised play.

HOURS AND DAYS OF OPERATION

1. AM Class Two (2) Days a Week is for 3 & 4 year olds. Class is on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 12 noon.
2. AM Class Three (3) Days a Week is for 4 & 5 year olds. Class is on Monday 9:00 am to 12 noon, enrichment is Wednesday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Friday 9:00 am to 12 noon.
3. PM Class Three (3) Days a Week is for 4 & 5 year olds. Class is on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 pm to 4:00

AGE REQUIREMENT

The child must be three (3) years of age. He/she may enter any time during the year if he/she is three (3) and an opening occurs. The child must be toilet trained and able to handle himself/herself for bathroom procedures.
